eHour is now available as a ChatGPT plugin

Track time, run timers, check timesheet submissions and view saved reports directly in ChatGPT.

We built the plugin on top of our existing MCP server, which connects ChatGPT (and Claude, etc.) to eHour’s data. The plugin adds skills for common workflows, helping ChatGPT choose the right steps for a request.

In other words: the MCP server builds the road and the plugin provides instructions for how to drive on that road.

For example, ask:

Show my eHour timesheet for this week.

The timesheets skill guides ChatGPT to retrieve the right period and show both recorded hours and submission status. If you ask who on your team has not submitted, it checks submission status instead of guessing from the hours people have recorded.

The plugin also includes skills for tracking time, reporting and managing projects, users and teams. These help ChatGPT handle details such as choosing the right project assignment before logging time or checking an existing entry before changing its total.

Prompts to try

  • “Start a timer for my current project.”
  • “Show my timesheet for this week.”
  • “Which people on my team have not submitted last week?”
  • “Summarize billable project hours for last month.”
