For users of open-source eHour
Meet the new eHour
The open-source, on-premise edition of eHour has been replaced by the new hosted SaaS product.
The new eHour keeps the same weekly timesheet and adds reporting, approvals, and integrations. The open-source edition is no longer maintained.
eHour v1.4.3 versus the new eHour
Start with the weekly grid you already know. The hosted version adds approval workflows, custom reports, and Jira time tracking, while all your existing data comes with you.
Features
The weekly timesheet you already know
The weekly timesheet keeps the Excel-like grid you know from open-source eHour. Hours can now also be logged from a phone, with a running timer, in Jira, through the API, or via the eHour MCP server.
Billable and non-billable hours
Time budget, by Project
Review and report on submitted time
Timesheet approvals are new in the hosted version. Managers can approve submitted timesheets in bulk or send them back with a comment before hours reach invoicing or payroll.
Native Atlassian Jira integration
eHour now connects directly to Atlassian Jira, so developers can log time on issues without switching tools. The hours stay available in eHour for approvals, reporting, budgets, and billing.
Migrate your complete eHour history
All your eHour 1 data can be migrated to eHour Cloud, including users, clients, projects, logged hours, and comments. We can import it into a trial account, so you can evaluate the hosted version with your own data before deciding whether to switch.

What do our users say?
Our external project leader wanted first to have an overview of all hours logged per individual team member before invoicing the client. With eHour, I was able to have all data right there on my screen in a single comprehensible report. After scheduling it, it is sent by email every Friday to the project leader without any interference from me.
